Biography: 

Dr. Annick Cros is an independent contractor with expertise on the development of conservation strategies, spatial planning and project management. She is currently working with The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) Reef Resilience Network, creating and leading in-person and online courses for managers on topics such as climate science, remote sensing and conservation genetics.

With an MSc. in Tropical Coastal Management from the University of Newcastle, England and a PhD in Biology from the University of Hawaii, Annick specializes in coral reef conservation. Her research has focused on the use of molecular tools and GIS to study marine connectivity, resilience to climate change and the design of resilient marine protected area networks. She has worked internationally for large NGOs such as World Wildlife Fund, Wildlife Conservation Society and TNC.
