Biography:
Dr. M. Zach Peery works with a variety of species, including Marbeled Murrelets, wetland turtles in Wisconsin, and two- and three-toed sloths in a tropical agro-ecosystem. His focus is on providing pragmatic solutions to wildlife problems to maintain viable populations while allowing for sustainable resource use. To do this, his lab uses a variety of ecological, genetic, and population modeling approaches to inform science-based conservation decisions while working closely with a number of agencies, including MLML.
