I graduated from Bucknell University in the spring of 2018 with a BS degree in Animal Behavior. My research experiences in undergrad consisted mostly of classwork studying choice behavior in primates (rhesus macaques, capuchins, and squirrel monkeys), bees, and rats. My first experience with marine biology was during a class titled "Biology and Behavior of Marine Vertebrates" that I took while studying abroad in New Zealand and my interest was immediately piqued. After spending a summer working at a zip-line course in Montana, I applied to the Vertebrate Ecology Lab as an intern in order to learn more about marine mammal research. I had the opportunity to assist on research projects involving northern elephants seals and humpback whales as well as work with the Marine Mammal Stranding Network. I joined the lab as a student in the fall of 2020 and my research interests include life history and behavioral ecology of wild marine animals. Outside of school I work as a kayak guide and naturalist in Monterey Bay.
