ACT Workshop January 2017

ACT Workshop January 2017

EBL, home to the Pacific Coast Partner in the Alliance for Coastal Technologies (ACT), organized and hosted a Workshop entitled “SENSORS FOR MONITORING OF HARMFUL ALGAE, CYANOBACTERIA AND THEIR TOXINS – Current Status and Integration Into Observing Systems” at MLML January 30th – February 1st, 2017. Participants from research, industry, government and management spent time in break-out sessions and open discussions to talk about the state of HAB detection technologies and future recommendations (i.e. challenges for stakeholder needs, system integrations, coordination of marine and freshwater approaches, and verification and knowledge-sharing). The results of these discussions and recommendations will be culminated into a report.  Here, we provide access to plenary presentations (with permission of the authors) and links to additional resources which were provided during the workshop discussions.
