CCFRP Tag Returns

Tag Return Information

Attention All Anglers!!!

Going fishing?  Well...if you happen to catch a fish with an external FLOY tag located just under its dorsal fin (like the Lingcod pictured below), let us know!

Valuable information on tagged fishes reported by members of the commercial and recreational fishing communities helps us learn about the movements and survivorship of the nearshore species from our study.

Want to help spread the word about the California Collaborative Fisheries Research Program (CCFRP) and let others know how they can aid in scientific research while catching their dinner at the same time?  Print this Tag Return Flier and display it in any area frequented by fishers (from California to Washington).

If you catch a tagged fish, simply follow the instructions on the tag return flyer and we'll show you our appreciation with a small monetary reward and fact sheet about your fish (e.g. the distance traveled, time at liberty and some quick facts about its species).
