OUR CURRICULUM

We propose a novel curriculum in aquaculture science to serve the needs of a diverse body of undergraduate and graduate students throughout the CSU and train a technical workforce to support the growing aquaculture industry.

  • Series of hybrid courses (online content paired with on-site experiences)

    MS 274: Advanced Topics in Aquaculture

  • Certificate or degree in Aquaculture Science

  • Internships with industry partners throughout California

  • Master’s Thesis research on specific topics

PROGRAM LOCATION

At present MLML offers courses on aquaculture delivered through the SJSU degree program at MLML. The aquaculture curriculum will be further developed and tested at the consortium of campuses of MLML: East Bay, Fresno, Monterey Bay, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, and Stanislaus. However, we propose that an eventual SJSU Center for Aquaculture would incorporate the SJSU/MLML faculty and campuses throughout the CSU into this aquaculture curriculum for students at all CSU campuses.
