Sarah is a first year student and is interested in all things marine life! Recently she did work with sea turtles in Florida as well as other marine and terrestrial wildlife. She has recently discovered a love for invertebrates due to their mysterious and marvelous behavior and adaptations. She is currently working on a project monitoring and evaluating Mid-Depth Rocky Reef Ecosystems in MLPA Marine Protected Area. She has done previous work on antibiotic resistant E.coli in a major waterway in Northwest Ohio, antibiotic resistance of probiotics, antimicrobial properties of snake venom (Heterodon nasicus), as well as a literature review of the antimicrobial properties of snake venom in the Colubridae, Viperidae, and Elapidae families which resulted in a publication.
In her valuable free time, Sarah loves to read, hike, listen to music, and bake/cook!
