JULIANA CORNETT

Juliana Cornett

Juliana is a first-year graduate student, co-advised by Dr. Cheryl Logan at CSUMB. Her thesis project is TBD, but her broad research interests are marine invertebrate ecology and physiological responses to environmental stress. Juliana graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Biological Sciences, and conducted research on anemone-algal symbiosis in Anthopleura spp. while she was there. She also spent a quarter studying abroad at the University of Queensland in Australia. During a gap year before graduate school, Juliana worked as an environmental educator at Portland Audubon and volunteered at OMSI, a science museum, so science education and environmental education are other major interests.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, tidepooling, photography, and spending time with her cat and bunny.
