Deo is interested in restoration ecology in aquatic systems, as well as both coastal and deep-sea invertebrate ecology. He completed his undergraduate degree in Environmental, Soil, and Water Science at the University of Arkansas, where he studied freshwater stream restoration outcomes. At MLML, he will be working with Olympia oysters in aquaculture and field restoration settings to study their population ecology, reproduction, and recruitment.
