I grew up attending summer camps outdoors and fell in love with the ocean when peering into tide pools during a sleep-away camp at Acadia National Park. I completed my undergraduate degree in environmental geoscience in 2023 where I gained experience in marine chemistry, underwater research techniques, and coastal ecosystems. I am most interested in protecting foundational species in biodiverse ocean ecosystems like coral reefs, sponge reefs, and kelp forests. More specifically, I hope to continue to work with invertebrate species and incorporate methods from many different disciplines in order to inform restoration efforts and policies. At MLML, I will be coadvised by Amanda Kahn and Ivano Aiello to study the reef-building processes of deep-sea sponges.
