Labs went down to Monterey's Breakwater to conduct a sunset and night dive. \u00a0The first dive was to a rocky outcrop called the <em>Metridium<\/em> field. \u00a0The <em>Metridium<\/em>\u00a0are white plumose anemones that look like fluffy cauliflowers and filter particulates out of the water. \u00a0It is a stunning sight with so many anemones.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7581\" id=\"caption-attachment-7581\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Martin and Metridium<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The second dive was conducted by nightfall. \u00a0Every diver had a glow-stick to better locate their buddy and stay in visual contact in the dark. \u00a0Each diver has a waterproof light, it takes practice to communicate underwater let alone now using a flashlight. \u00a0We saw different species like red octopus which were out foraging and rockfish that seemed to hover almost half asleep in the water column. \u00a0It is interesting to see these changes that happen as the rocky reef
